One of those committments, Justin Kessler, a 6-4 230-pound tight end from Alvarado High School in the Fort Worth, Texas area has reportedly already graduated from high school and will enroll at Tulane in January.
Tulane is also expected to have at least one other mid-year enrollee in Ryan Gilliam, a 5-9 158-pound, a cornerback expected to transfer from the University of Oregon. Gilliam, who prepped at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla. reportedly runs a subn-4.3 in the 40 yard dash.
Hawgs Illustrated.com, a sister site within the Scout.com network is reporting that Matt Slocum, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end from West Monroe High School, will make his official visit to the Green Wave on Jan,7.
Jeremy Williams, an All-District wide receiver from Baytown, Texas, Sterling High School, visited the Green Wave this past weekend. Williams, 6-2 185, played in District 22-5A, one of the most competitive districts in Texas High School football. Williams, who reportedly runs the 40 in 4.5, played on a team that ran the ball 60% of the time but still managed 76 catches for nearly 1,500 yards in his final two seasons of eligibility.
The status of Jeff Wheeler, the 6-7 240-pound defensive end from Houston, Texas, Clear Lake High School, who rescheduled his official visit to Tulane until January, is unclear. Wheeler visited Kansas this past weekend and reportedly committed but confirmation of that committment is hard to come by.
