Kashmere's Jatrel Rollins Looks Ahead

JR: I took the SAT in June, I did all right. My grades are okay. I won't have any trouble

TI spoke with Jatrel Rollins, the tight end from Houston, Texas, Kashmere High School, Thursday evening. Rollins attended the Scout.com San Antonio combine earlier this year. Here's what Jatrel had to say.

TI: Jatrel, has your height and weight changed at all since the combine?
JR: Right now I'm 6-foot-5, weight 235-pounds.

TI: How about your 40 time?
JR: 4.9.

TI: How have you been spending your summer? Been to any Camps? Any more combines?
JR: I been working out. I haven't been to any camps. The last combine I went to was at the U of H. The Greater Houston Coaches Association had the combine.

TI: What colleges have you been hearing from recently?
JR: I talked to UTEP, Missouri and New Mexico a while back. I haven't heard anything from any other C-USA schools.

TI: Are you determined to attend a college in Texas or might you consider leaving the state?
JR: It really don't matter. I might consider leaving.

TI: How about the test scores and grades that you need to be eligible as a college freshman? How are you doing academically?
JR: I took the SAT in June, I did all right. My grades are okay. I won't have any trouble getting into college.

TI: What kind of team will Kashmere have next season?
JR: We're going to have a good team. We're in District 21-4A, the best team in district is Jones High School. I think we'll beat Jones this year.

TI: Finally Jatrel, what are you looking for in a college?
JR: Mostly, good academics.
