Green Wave To Don Full Gear Tuesday

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Dressed in shorts and shoulder pads for the final day of the mandatory four days of limited practices, Tulane's football team readied itself Monday for the hitting soon to begin with a two-hour-plus workout in moderate conditions that focused on unit and skelton drills.

Pre-season practice will continue Tuesday as Tulane will don full-pads for the first time that morning. The Green Wave will work only once Tuesday before beginning two-a-day practices on Wednesday. Two-a-day practices are scheduled at 7:40 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Throughout Monday's practice session it appeared that the squad was getting antsy for the hitting to begin while the coaching staff appeared to be in the midst of wrapping up installation of various packages on both sides of the ball.

After practice, the team continued with it's running program. Freshman quarterback D'Metres Hill and junior safety Joe Goosby have both been impressive in the running portion of practice, with both showing speed and endurance.
