After an extremely lengthy Friday evening practice at the Saint's indoor practice facility
on Airline Drive, Tulane head coach Chris Scelfo gave the Green Wave football team
Saturday off. The Green Wave will work once Sunday, a limited evening session in
conjunction with the Fan Day celebration.
Fan Day is slated to run from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Westfeldt Facility, and will be preceded
by 'Let's Talk Tulane Football', an event hosted by the Ray Hester Club at Boomtown
Casino, 4132 Peters Road, Harvey, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m, to benefit Tulane football.
The Guests of Honor at 'Let's Talk Tulane Football' will be the Tulane football coaching
staff. Admission is $15 per person, and the immediate rewards are an open bar and cocktail
food.
Tulane will open the regular season with a 6 p.m. game against the University
of Houston on Saturday, Sept. 9. That game is
scheduled to be played at Houston's Robertson Stadium.
