The Tulane Green Wave concluded their season Saturday with a 38-3 loss to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Friday before a crowd of 15,502 at Skelly Stadium in Tulsa.

Tulane finished the season 4-8 overall and 2-6 in Conference USA play. Tulsa finished 8-4 overall and 5-3 in C-USA.

Friday the Green Wave offense totalled only 152 yards of total offense. The Wave offense was led by reserve running backs Adeboye Tuyo and Andre Anderson. Ade Tuyo ran 16 times for 64 yards, while Anderson gained 29 yards on 7 carries.

Green Wave quarterback Lester Ricard threw 21 times , completing 10 passes for only 78 yards. Ricard was sacked 3 times.

Damarcus Davis led Green Wave receivers with 6 catches for 29 yards, and Preston Brown caught 2 catches for 34 yards.

Tulsa ran for 191 yards and quarterback Paul Smith threw for 215 yards, as the Golden Hurricane totalled 458 yards of total offense.

Tulsa shared the rushing chores among three backs, with Courtney Tennial scoring 2 touchdowns and rushing 11 times for 49 yards. Starter Tarrion Adams had only 2 carries but totalled 47 yards. The third running back, Brandon Diles carried 13 times for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Smith added 30 rushing yards on 6 carries.

Tulsa receivers were led by Ryan Bugg with 6 catches for 99 yards, and Don Johnson added 4 receptions for 81 yards.

Tulsa took the opening kickoff and marched 77 yards for a touchdown, scoring in 12 plays. The drive was capped by a one-yard scoring run by Brandon Diles to open the scoring and give the Hurricane a 7-0 lead.

Tulane was unable to sustain a drive in the first quarter and Anthony Scelfo relieved Ricard at quarterback on Tulane's first possession of the second quarter but also failed to ignite the offense.

Tulsa then opened a 17-0 lead scoring on consecutive short drives on a Jarod Tracy field goal from 50-yards out, and a 2-yard scoring run by Courtney Tennial.

Tulane's offense got the kickoff to open the second half and rallied to mount a drive. The Wave moved to the Tulsa 13-yard line but bogged down and Ross Thevenot kicked a 30 yard field goal to make the score 17-3 and give the Wave some hope of a second-half rally.

But those hopes were dashed quickly as Tulsa took the ensuing kickoff and marched 57 yards on 8 plays for a touchdown. The drive was capped by a 5-yard run for the score by Tennial.

The Green Wave offense went back into sleep mode and Tulsa scored on their next two possessions as well. First on a 24-yard pass from Smith to Cody Madison, and then on a one-yard run by reserve quarterback David Johnson.

The Green Wave finished the season on a low-note, as the offense struggled after the loss of star running back Matt Forte against Marshall. Since Forte's injury the Green Wave offense scored only touchdown in 13 quarters of football dating back to the fourth quarter of the Marshall game.
