Ozougwu Sets Visit To Tulane For Jan. 12

"You know, If I go to Tulane and they show me a good time I may go ahead and commit and cancel the other visits. I'm just looking for the right place and the right fit," Cheta finished

A TI representative checked in with Cheta Ozougwu, the oustide linebacker from Taylor High School in Houston, Texas, late Monday afternoon. Here's the good news from Cheta.

"Things are going good. I rescheduled my visit to Louisiana Tech, because I couldn't go this weekend because of some family stuff," the athletic linebacker said. "I'll go to Tech the first weekend in February."

As far as his soft verbal commitment to the Green Wave, Cheta had some encouraging news, "I talked with the Tulane coaches today and told them that I'm going to visit Tulane this weekend."

"The thing is," he continued, "the coach that recruited me, Coach Zo, left for a job with UAB. I didn't know until today. I spoke with the new guy today and he seemed real cool."

"Right now, it looks like Houston and Texas Tech will be unofficial visits. I'm not sure about TCU. I heard from UCLA about 3 weeks ago but not since. I'm hoping they get back and work out a date for a visit. That would be my final visit."

"You know, If I go to Tulane and they show me a good time I may go ahead and commit and cancel the other visits. I'm just looking for the right place and the right fit," Cheta finished.
