Tulane Falls To Herd

Saturday in Huntington, West Virginia, Tulane (15-9, 5-5) fell behind early, trailing 16-3 midway through the first half and never got on track. The Green Wave was outrebounded 42-29 in the 68-54 loss to Marshall (14-10, 6-5).

Senior forward David Gomez cut the Herd's lead to 47-38 with 13:18, but Marshall pulled away down the stretch in a contest that they never trailed. Gomez led the Green Wave in scoring with 15 points. Guards Kevin Sims and Donnavan Stith added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
