Senior guard Donnavan Stith hit two freethrows with 4.4 seconds left Saturday at Fogelman Arena to secure a spot in the Conference USA Tournament and give the Green Wave (16-14, 6-10)its second consecutive winning season. Four Green Wave players hit double figures in 77-75 win over East Carolina (11-18, 5-11).

East Carolina guard Darrell Jenkins led all scorers with 30 points. Jenkins hit an impressive 8-for-11 from 3-point range. However, the Green Wave's balanced attack was too much for the Pirates to overcome.
