Trailling 12-9 entering the ninth, the Green Wave rallied to pull to within one run of tying the score. It appeared that designated hitter Andrew Rodgers hit into a double play at second, but SLU first baseman Phillip Freeman could not handle the throw from Ty Summerlin. Aja Barto would come around to score and Seth Henry aggressively tried to even the score; however, Freeman was able to recover and throw a strike to the plate, ending the Green Wave rally.
Junior reliever, Trey Martin got the loss, dropping his record to 1-2. Offensively, the Tulane was led by Henry who went 3-for-4 with a double and 4 rbi. Catcher Jared Dyer was 2-for-5 with a double, 3 runs, and one rbi. First baseman Anthony Scelfo finished the night 1-for-3 with 2 walks, a homerun, 3 runs, and 3 rbi.
