Tulane (25-11-1) took the lead with 3 runs in the third inning. Southeastern did not score a run until the top of the eighth, but the Green Wave quickly answered in the bottom of the inning to keep the lead at 3 runs.
Third baseman Rob Segedin relieved Rogers in the eighth inning and allowed only one hit in the final two innings. Segedin also paced the Green Wave offensively, going 2-for-3 with 2 rbi as Tulane outhit SLU 7 to 2.
Tulane returns to action Friday, April 18th at 6 p.m. against Southern Mississippi at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
