Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets can be ordered in person, over the phone or via the internet at the Tulane Ticket Office - (504) 861-WAVE or www.tulanegreenwave.com - and through Ticketmaster oulets - (504) 522-2222 or www.ticketmaster.com. Orders through Zephyr Field must be made in person and only tickets for the Tulane/LSU contest on March 11 in Metairie may be purchased at the facility.
The two off-campus sites both claim NCAA marks in the past as 27,673 Tulane and LSU fans gathered at the Louisiana Superdome on April 10, 2002 to set an NCAA single-game attendance record. The crowd shattered the former regular-season mark of 21,043 set in 1996, and also surpassed the all-time record of 24,859 set in the 1999 College World Series.
Zephyr Field, on the other hand, was the site of the largest postseason crowd in NCAA history when an average of 11,756 fans were on hand to witness the Green Wave's three-game victory over the Tigers in the Super Regional. The average attendance was more than the totals of six of the other seven Super Regionals that year, and only Georgia's 11,930 total fans surpassed the New Orleans average.
