| Tulane Pitching Too Much For Lions

It took the Green Wave only 2:31 to put away Southeastern Louisiana 4-1 Tuesday night at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium before a crowd of 3,215. Sophomore right-hander Taylor Rogers recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts while allowing only one run and one hit in 7.0 innings of work. Tulane (25-11-1) took the lead with 3 runs in the third inning. Southeastern did not score a run until the top of the eighth, but the Green Wave quickly answered in the bottom of the inning to keep the lead at 3 runs. Third baseman Rob Segedin relieved Rogers in the eighth inning and allowed only one hit in the final two innings. Segedin also paced the Green Wave offensively, going 2-for-3 with 2 rbi as Tulane outhit SLU 7 to 2.
