Tulane (33-15-1) dropped the third and final game of the season series against UNO (35-13) 9-8 Tuesday night at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. Privateer closer Ryan O'Shea pitched a pair of perfect innings to shut down the Green Wave and secured his eleventh save of the season.

Tulane jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first inning, but UNO responded with 3 runs in the third and fifth innings. Sophomore starter Taylor Rogers (3-1) suffered his first loss of the season for the Green Wave.

Wednesday, Tulane bounced back against Southern in Baton Rouge 10-3. Junior starter Jonathan Garrett (3-2) had a strong outing facing only 31 Jaguar batters in a 95-pitch complete-game performance. After 3 innings, Tulane led 6-0 and never looked back. Offensively, second baseman Seth Henry was 2-for-5 with a homerun, 2 runs, and 3 rbi. Designated hitter Andrew Rodgers was 2-for-5 with his 10th homerun of the season, one run, and 2 rbi. Centerfielder Anthony Scelfo also hit his tenth homerun of the season Wednesday night.

Tulane returns to action tonight at 6 p.m. against East Carolina in Greenville, North Carolina.
