UTEP (3-3, 3-0) trailed 21-17 late in the fourth quarter, but it took the Miners only 2 plays and 44 seconds to steal a hard-fought victory from Tulane (2-4, 1-2) 24-21. Jeff Moturi capped the drive, catching a 68 yard scoring strike from Trevor Vittatoe. Tulane running back Andre Anderson had his fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance with 255 yards and 2 touchdowns on 29 carries.
