Now that the Conference USA regular season is officially over, it’s time for us to announce our all-C-USA teams. To no one’s surprise, the Most Outstanding Player Award goes to UCF’s dynamic shooting guard, Jermaine Taylor, who led the conference in scoring with a 26.6 ppg. average, setting a new C-USA record.   Full Story

It was a busy weekend in the world of C-USA hoops, and unlike the weekday games, there were no real surprises. Memphis continues to roll, UAB bounces back from their mid-week date with Memphis, UCF continues to slump, and Tulsa, Houston, and Tulane take care of business.   Full Story

The Memphis Tigers continue to flex their muscles, as they stay perfect in conference and are the hottest team in the nation with 19 consecutive wins. Rice and Marshall both recorded their first conference road victories of the season, as Rice overcame a record-setting performance by the great Jermaine Taylor. Houston and SMU were game opponents, but couldn’t seal the deal on the road.    Full Story

All 12 teams were in action Saturday which made for some exciting C-USA hoops action. Memphis was challenged, but survived, and UAB was especially impressive at home.   Full Story

NEW ORLEANS - Marshall saw Tulane just two weeks ago, when the Herd rallied to tie a game at the Henderson Center over the Green Wave and win in overtime, 89-86. This afternoon at ancient Fogelman Arena, in front of about 150 Tulane fans (listed attn: 1,843, not even close), TU played at its place and topped a poor-shooting Herd, 57-51. MU is now 12-15, 4-8 in Conference USA.   Full Story

Another week has gone by in the C-USA and what else is new, Memphis is undefeated. John Calipari’s Tigers are playing stifling defense and some close early season contests have turned into blowouts. Memphis has now won 52 straight C-USA games, and there’s no end to their dominance in sight.   Full Story

Senior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla.) scored seven of his game-high 28 points in overtime as the UCF men’s basketball team defeated Tulane, 79-74, in Conference USA play Saturday at Fogelman Arena. The Knights (15-6, 5-2 C-USA), who overcame a 10-point second-half deficit, have won five-consecutive contests.   Full Story

Tulane (3-2) saw its two-game win streak come to an end Friday at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Alabama, in the USA Basketball Classic. The Green Wave shot a meager 38.2% from the field and 43.8% from the charity stripe as Tulane fell to UC-Davis 76-62.   Full Story

Tulane (1-0) held McNeese State (0-1) to 19.2% shooting from the field in the first half, then held on in the second half to take a 68-62 victory in the season opener at Fogelman Arena Saturday night. Kevin Sims and Kris Richard pace the Green Wave with 17 points apiece.   Full Story

Tulane (17-15) fell to the #2 Memphis Tigers (31-1) in the quarterfinal round of the Conference USA Tournament 75-56 Thursday night. Tulane was led by senior forward David Gomez, who scored a game-high 18 points.   Full Story

Tulane (15-13, 5-9) closed out the regular season with a 69-44 loss to UAB (21-8, 11-3) Saturday at Bartow Arena before a crowd of 7,037. The Green Wave had no answer for the Blazer's Robert Vaden who scored a game-high 30 points. The loss marked the 7th consecutive defeat for the Green Wave.   Full Story

Tulane (15-12, 5-8) lost its sixth straight, 80-63 to sharp-shooting Central Florida (15-12, 8-5) Wednesday night at UCF. The Knights were paced by Jermaine Taylor's game-high 19 points. Taylor scored 15 in the first half.   Full Story

(www.ucfathletics.com) - Junior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla./Tavares) totaled a game-high 19 points, and five Knights finished with double-figures in scoring as the UCF men's basketball team posted an 80-63 win over Tulane on Wednesday at the new UCF Arena. The Knights (15-12, 8-5 Conference USA) shot 24-of-28 (85.7 percent) from the free-throw line in the victory.   Full Story
