| Biography: |
Was Mewelde Moore's understudy in 2002 and 2003, inheriting the starting RB position when Mewelde was lost for the season against Navy with a broken hand that kept him out of last season's final three games. In those three games Jackson added 308 yards on 61 carries and scored two touchdowns, one an
85 yard ramble against UAB. To his credit,
'Shack' maintained himself as the starter at running back through spring practice.
His rep indicates that he's a change of direction type runner with good speed although he's not the sprinter type; in other words he appears to be someone who CAN take on a linebacker or a defensive end but is more likely to make him miss.
For the Tulane offense to be effective Shack has to become a reliable receiver.
