| Senior has seen action at several receiver positions in his career, having played in 32 career games and made 12 starts but represents the proverbial an enigma wrapped in a question mark. At times he's displayed flashes of NFL-level ability but he has often disappeared for looonng stretches of the season. As a true freshman in 2001 he was a sensation, catching 25 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown. But in the past two seasons combined Davis has yet to surpass that number of catches, totalling only 22 receptions in 2002 and 2003. And Davis has a surprisingly 3 season low total of three career touchdown catches for a receiver in this type of offense. A return to the form of his freshman season is highly desirable and could only make the Tulane receiving corps more effective. Such a return may be presaged by his status as a starter at one of the inside or slot receiver spots heading into preseason camp.
